Honoli’i Beach Park, Hilo, HI

Honoli’i Beach Park was a beginner & traveler friendly surf spot near Hilo, HI. I visited this beach 4 times during my 2.5 day of stay at Hilo.

When I visited, wave size was 1’-2’, occasional 3’. There is one rock that you need to watch out for during low tide. Facing the ocean, it’s like left side of the life guard tower.

For board rentals, I searched for local surf shop to rent a board, and visited three of them and decided to just get a soft top at Hulakai in Downtown Hilo area.
